WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SHINY SATIN AND MATTE SATIN?

Shiny satin gives a bold, light-reflecting sheen and is more afforable, while matte satin exudes a quiet luxury. Both are versatile fabrics for weddings year-round. Matte satin is thinner than its shiny counterpart, so it falls more gracefully and moves with effortless fluidity. The thin fabrication also lends itself to a softer, smoother hand feel.

Matte satin color swatches are available in our 15 Birdy Grey classic & best-selling colors, as well as a bright and saturated gemstone collection available exclusively in matte satin.

ABOUT OUR FABRIC SWATCHES

Nothing beats seeing swatches IRL before deciding on a bridesmaid dress. A sage green bridesmaid dress on your computer might look different when you finally get the dress in the mail—and while we love a good surprise, this isn't one of them. With our swatch program, you can choose up to 3 swatches for free and any additional swatch is just $2 a pop. Remember that even if you're eyeing one particular color for your wedding, it can vary up to 25% depending on the fabric. A tulle cabernet dress might look a tad different from a chiffon cabernet dress—you get the idea! We encourage all brides to swatch shop as the first step of the process and we've made it super easy for you to do just that.

How do I mix and match bridesmaid dress colors?

We've made it insanely easy to mix and match multiple colors in our collection! Rule of thumb is to stick to one family. For the warm sunset look, we suggest pairing terracotta with our taupe bridesmaid dresses. For a brighter accent, you can also add champagne bridesmaid dresses to the mix as well!
