Earlier this summer, influencer Kennedy Stidham (@kennedyfaith15) married her longtime love and New England Patriot Jarrett Stidham (@jarrett_stidham8) in a lavish Old Hollywood themed wedding Houston, Texas. From the special meaning behind Kennedy’s reception dress to having her MOH’s in our bridesmaid dresses, there were tons of details that made the big day super special for the newly wed couple.
Kennedy has always had a creative mindset. As her mother always said, she had an “eye” for things. So planning her dream wedding was the ultimate blank canvas to work her creative magic. Her and her pro baller fiancé chose the Astorian as their wedding venue which gave a modern touch to the Old Hollywood vibe they were going for. Her colors were whites with accents of gold and a pop of blush pink. On choosing blush pink as her pop, Kennedy explains it’s, “...very neutral and feminine.” Her florals were described as “50 shades of pink” which can be seen throughout the wedding from arrangements to the cake and that stunning insta worth flower wall!
For Kennedy’s wedding dress, she “wanted it to be different than anyone has seen but I didn’t want it to be untraditional…”. The first dress that she ever tried on, which was at The White Dress in Corona Del Mar, she fell in love with and knew it was the one. Featuring a classic mermaids silhouette, the Ines Di Santo design included an elegant and fun ruffled bottom.
To compliment the bride’s gown, Kennedy chose our Kiko in Pale Blush for her maid of honor’s who happened to be her three lovely sisters. She wanted them to stand out from her entire bridal party and was the perfect shade of blush to go with the rest of the wedding decor.
One special moment during the wedding was when Kennedy changed into her reception dress which happened to be her mom’s wedding gown. She had the high neck lace creation altered to feature a high slit and open back to add to the modern elements in the wedding.
During the reception, guests were able to take photos in front of one of Kenendy’s fave touches to the wedding: that flower wall! It also included a neon sign quoting one of her favorite artists (and ours) Beyonce’s song, “Crazy in Love”. The night ended with a huge party of the bride and groom’s loved ones dancing the night away.
“All in all, we are celebrating LOVE come together in the eyes of the Lord and all of our family and close friends were there so we treated it as a huge celebration.”
