If you're heading to the tailor for bridesmaid dress alterations, there's a couple things to keep in mind:
1) Bring the shoes you'll be wearing on the wedding day with you, so that the hemline is just the right height. Horror is a dress that is so long that it's dragging on the floor, or too short so that your ankles are exposed. Best to bring your bridesmaid shoes with you, so that your seamstress knows exactly how short to alter the bridesmaid gown.
2) If you're getting alterations to the bust of your bridesmaid dress, it doesn't hurt to wear the strapless bra you'll be wearing on the day of the wedding, so that the alterations are accurate.
